Huawei Honor 8X Dual Sim 4GB RAM 128GB LTE (Black)

The Huawei Honor 8x has a lot to offer including decent specs

triple-a eye cameras a beautiful design lots of features
along with an amazing performance and today
we will indeed find out how good this smartphone really is.

The Huawei Honor 8x is a very nice looking smartphone
have a 6.5 inch IPS LCD screen with 396 pixels per inch
You have a 19 point 5 by 9 aspect ratio with a resolution
of 2340 by 1080 pixels so the display itself does look very nice
indeed full HD plus screen which is bright vivid great contrast
and the viewing angles are also very nice.

Kirin 710 Processor

Huawei Honor 8X Kirin 710 Processor

You have the high silicon Kirin 710 octa-core CPU with 4 gigs of DDR 4 RAM
and 128 GB gigs of internal storage.
There is also a micro SD card slot which allows you to expand
to a further 400 gigabytes

The smartphone itself is running Android version with emui 8.2 on top
on the back we have a dual camera setup with the main camera
being a 20 megapixel ai camera with a aperture
and a secondary 2 megapixel shooter
on the front we have a 16 megapixel selfie camera
which is located on the knotch.
The notch itself is not that big and you can also quite easily
disable the notch from display settings and it will give
you this black bar effect even with the knotch disabled.
The screen does look nice and big and the bezels aren’t that bad
with quite a small chin.

Furthermore this does support 4G it’s factory unlocked
with Bluetooth and you have a three thousand seven hundred
and 3750 milliamp battery.
The smartphone itself is made from glass and metal and
you do have a beautiful design on the back
with a two-tone gradient design.
To create this amazing design honor uses 15 layers of anti-glare film
with two visual effects on the same glass panel so a very detailed
and well thought-out design on the back
which is definitely pleasing on the eye.

Huawei Honor 8X Doble Aurora Glass

Furthermore the Huawei Honor 8X is millimeters thin and weighs
only a hundred and 75 grams.
This certainly looks and feels like an ultra premium flagship device
On the front you have your notch with the 16 megapixel ai selfie camera
and for navigation you have your three onscreen touch buttons back home and menu.

Fingerprint Sensor

The fingerprint sensor is located on the back and is quite easy
to reach and it unlocks a smartphone very fast every single time
super fast fingerprint sensor very accurate
and I like the size of it and it’s very comfortable and quick in operation.

Face Unlock

This smartphone also supports face unlock
and it unlocks almost instantly.
The face unlock is probably one of the fastest face unlocks
I have ever seen it’s so fast it will unlock as soon
as you press the power button
an impressive fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
At the bottom of the smartphone I am happy to see a phone jack
a microUSB charging port and a single speaker,
a volume rocker and a power button.
The buttons themselves are also made from metal and they
do feel very nice to the touch.
On the top of the smartphone there is nothing and on the side
we have do nano SIM card tray which can take to nano SIM cards
at the same time but you also have a separate slot
for a micro SD card up to four hundred gates
This device handles Full HD streaming and gaming
so you can’t stream a maximum of 1080p on YouTube.
Furthermore you have a three thousand seven hundred
and fifty milliamp battery and the battery optimization
is actually pretty good.
This can easily last you between one point five to two days depending
on use.

Dual Back Camera

Coming to the cameras on the back we have a dual camera setup
with 20 megapixels with an F aperture and a secondary
two megapixel camera and on the front is a 16 megapixel selfie camera.
I’ll quickly go through all the options you got aperture modes
where you can actually select your own aperture
then you’ve got night mode portrait photo video and
you can shoot a maximum of 1080p video at 60 frames per second
including h.264 and h.265 so you are spoiled for choice
with the camera.

Huawei Honor 8X Slow Motion Picture

There are lots of options that you can play with

My Thoughts On This Device

This is a very nice looking smartphone the build quality
and performance of this device is quite high it does look
and feel like a flagship device.
You can run more or less any app or game you like
and this smartphone has the power to handle it
I enjoyed a few games of pubsey mobile with the graphic set
to medium and it played flawless with no lag whatsoever.

HUAWEI-Honor-8X Turbo Graphics

The camera was surprisingly good you have honors built in AI cameras
which automatically detect what you are shooting and adjust the settings
for you accordingly.
Most of the time you can take some amazing shots with AI on but
you also have the options to go manual and take shots with your own settings
This camera is quite feature packed with both video and photos.

Bottom Line

This is no doubt that the Huawei Honor 8X is a beautifully designed smartphone
offering plenty of power performance expansion and more.
I can actually use this as my daily driver of course the only thing
I would personally miss is wireless charging
and there is no IP rating but wireless charging and IP ratings
are premium features which are only found in near thousand dollar
flagship smartphones.
I feel it would be wrong to put those down as cons
the least
We could expect in this device is USBC fast charging this smartphone
has nearly everything else you could want from a smart phone including NFC support
Furthermore the Huawei Honor 8X cost $320
and in my humble opinion it will handle more or less anything
you throw at it the power performance and camera are actually too good for the price.

Honor 8x - BETTER than iPhone XS!

My review of the Honor 8X compares this budget smartphone with Apple's super-expensive iPhone XS, showing that a premium price doesn't guarantee better tech. In fact, the sub-£250 Honor 8X is superior to the £1000+ iPhone XS in many ways, while boasting impressive specs, camera tech, battery life and features for a budget cost.

With Huawei's EMUI 8.2 on board, the Honor offers more convenient facial recognition, improved one-handed operation and some seriously impressive night camera smarts. The Honor 8X smartphone also delivers expandable storage, sleek design and decent performance - all for a much lower price than the iPhone XS.
